It was with great sadness that we recently said a final farewell to CASA Volunteer Pam Stapp. Pam passed away on September 11, 2007 after a brave battle with cancer. She was a real joy to be around and a very dedicated volunteer who once earned the title of Volunteer of the Quarter. In a final act of generosity and thoughtfulness, Pam requested that instead of sending flowers, her family and friends make donations to the Fannin County Children’s Center or to the Friends of Fannin County Critters. We were overwhelmed by the response; we have received more than forty donations totaling a little more than $3,000. What a fitting tribute to such a fine human being! These gifts will also help sustain the work for children that was so dear to Pam's heart.
