Christmas 2007

Christmas Blessings - The United Methodist Women from Leonard collected lots of toys for the Fannin County Children’s Center again this year. Their gifts will go along way towards providing presents for the children served by CASA and Children’s Advocacy Center.
Nutcracker Performance Benefits Kids - Ballet students of the Bonham School of Dance performed the Nutcracker ballet at the VA Auditorium in Bonham. Admission to the performance was one new toy per family. The toys collected were given to the Fannin County Children’s Center for our annual Christmas Drive. Madeline Wells danced the part of Clara and Dacy Bradley was the Sugar Plum Fairy. Jerrod Toland was the Nutcracker Prince and Sterling Owens played Fritz. Other ballet students played the parts of party dancers, mice, flowers, peppermints and more. The performance was directed by the studio’s owner Samantha Lumpkins.
Texoma Toys for Tots - We are very grateful to the Marines for giving us two toys for each child we provide Christmas presents for. This chapter of Toys for Tots has been faithfully contributing to our effort for the last several years. We also appreciate Mel Dunham, our dedicated CASA volunteer and retired Marine, who drives to Denison each year to pick up all of the toys in his pick-up truck.

First National Bank of Trenton - It's become a Christmas tradition at the Bonham branch of First National Bank of Trenton to put up a teddy bear tree for the Children's Center in order to collect toys, games, clothes and other items for children. Their generosity and support will bring lots of smiles and excitement to Christmas morning for many children.

Fannin County Tax Assessor's Office - This office, led by Pamela Sweet-Richardson, has also been putting up teddy bear trees for the Children's Center for many years. We are grateful to them for their faithful generosity and efforts which help bring in lots of toys, clothes and other items for our kids.

Children's Center at Leonard ISD - The students and teacher at the Leonard ISD Children's Center have collected toys for the second year in a row. We really appreciate their efforts to help other children.
