Dodd City Kids Helping Kids

Second and third graders from Dodd City Schools visited the Children's Center in April. They brought donations of toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, socks and other items.
After getting a tour of the center, the children were given sidewalk chalk and ideas of how to decorate the sidewalk in front of the center. They quickly went to work, drawing rainbows, smiley faces, people, hearts, flowers and other designs. They also wrote messages such as "Welcome to the Children's Center" and "No Excuse for Child Abuse."
Later that evening, the Children's Center hosted our annual Open House. We estimate more than one hundred people attended the event. Numerous positive comments were made about the cheerful, colorful drawings which greeted all of the visitors to the center.
We are grateful to all of the children for their generosity and kindness. We also appreciate all of the teachers and parents who helped make this effort possible!
