Birthday Wish for the Children's Center

Kathi Riley joined our Cause on Facebook when she was invited by her cousin, Sandy Barber.  When her birthday was getting near, Kathi decided to set up her Birthday Wish in Causes and ask her Facebook friends to join her in donating to the Children's Center.  Kathi set a goal of $200 and started posting requests on her wall periodically.  One by one, friends started giving donations of $10, $25 or $50 each.  By the time her birthday arrived, a gift from another family member helped put her over the top.  Counting her own gift, Kathi raised $205 for the Children's Center. 
 
Kathi told us she wanted to do something to help others and she didn't really need anything for herself for her birthday.  We appreciate Kathi and her efforts which will help us sustain many different support services for children who have been abused and neglected.  
 
You can do it too!  If you are on Facebook or other social networking site that supports Causes, you can do this too!  It would take just five people raising $200 each to raise enough money for us to provide advocacy and support services for one child for one year.  If you need help setting up your Birthday Wish in Causes, contact Sandy Barber at (903) 583-4339 or sandy@fanninccc.org.
